Why would you call a tomato by the name of 'Red Fig'? They are fig shaped fruits that were often packed away dried for winter use, like figs! An heirloom, they are bright red, 1 1/2" long, and really fun to grow and serve. 85 days from transplant to first harvest, indeterminate. Tomatoes are a warm season crop and must be started ahead of time indoors in late March/early April. Plant them out after all danger of frost has past. Be sure to note whether they are determinate (bushy) or indeterminate (vining) and provide proper support. Natureworks recommends our heavy duty tomato cages that fold flat for storage.
