Hands down, this is my absolute favorite winter squash to grow. It is just so CUTE!!! Small, baby butternuts are single serving size. I scoop them out, stuff them, and serve them for Thanksgiving dinner. They keep really well so you can cook a few up for winter meals. The flesh is orange and SO sweet. A vigorous vine, I grown mine up a 6' tall chicken wire fence. Squash is a warm season crop. Direct seed outdoors after all danger of frost is over. Winter squashes remain in the garden for the entire growing season. 110 days from seed to harvest. -Nancy
