Sorrel is a perennial vegetable or herb that is used in making sorrel soup or added to potatoe dishes. The young spring leaves are often added to salads or mixed green sautes. It is very high in vitamins. Once you have planted it in your garden, it will come back year after year. Sorrel will stay green late in the fall, offering much needed greens late in the season. Sow the seeds directly on the soil a couple of weeks before your last frost.
