These are snow peas, flattened, edible-podded peas that you often find in Chinese food dishes. They are easy to grow, ready in 60 days from direct seeding to harvest. Peas are a cool season crop and one of the very first seeds you should plant in your spring garden. As long as the weather doesn't get too hot, they will grow leaves/vines. Once it really heats up, they will start to produce flowers and fruit. So, the earlier you can get them established, the more peas you will have. If we have a very cold early spring, speed up the process by rolling the seeds in moist paper towels and presprouting them before planting.
