Do you grow Asian eggplants? You should! They are delicious, tender, and never bitter. This is a combination of purple, green, and white Asian eggplants. Harvest when young and brush with olive oil and grill them. That's how I do it!
Eggplants like it WARM. They need to be started ahead of time, 6-8 weeks before our last frost. Set out in late May in the sunniest, hottest spot in your garden. Start harvesting 80 days after you set out the transplants. Watch for teeny, tiny flee beetles, especially on young plants. I dust the seedlings with diatamaceous earth in the early morning when the dew is on the leaves when I see them. -Nancy
