A giant dinnerplate dahlia with flowers up to 8" across! Grows 36-40" tall.
Dahlias are tender tubers. They are one of the most satisfying bulbs to grow in your garden. Once you have experienced dahlias, you will grow them every year. Why? They are gorgeous. They are incredible cut flowers. And, they come into their own in late summer and fall, just when you REALLY need them. We recommend planting them in 1 gallon pots in April and giving them a head start indoors. Or, plant the tubers directly in the ground in late May. Be sure to download our handout from our website that explains how easy it is to dig them and store them indoors over the winter.
