Calendulas are very long blooming, EDIBLE flowers. They thrive in the cool temperatures of spring, continue with a few less flowers during the summer, and then burst into a second round of heavy blooms in the fall. They make great cut flowers and the petals, besides being edible, are used in healing creams and lotions. An annual that will self sow if allowed to set seed in the late fall. Can be direct sown in the garden in April. This is a very beautiful mixture from Seed Savers Exchange.
