Early Jersey Wakefield' cabbage is delicious eaten fresh and very early matiuring, 60-75 days from transplant. An heirloom variety, the upright, conical heads weigh 3-4 lbs. each. Cabbage is a cool season crop. Start the seedlings indoor in late February/early March and plant out as soon as the soil can be worked. Start seedlings again in late June/early July and plant out for a fall crop.
