Brussel sprouts are so much fun to grow. Start indoors and plant outside in the early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. They take a full 100 days to harvest, so know that they will be in your garden for a long time. You can also plant them in the summer for a fall crop as they tolerate frost and actually get sweeter the colder it gets. Brussel sprouts are heavy feeders. Always cover your Brussel sprout plants with row covers to keep pest away from the plants.
